Hello, Z-Wave experts!
I would like to deploy an advanced config: I want to use POPP Portable controller "Interact Wall Controller" (her and after WallController) to send all button press events on the PC controller (instead of e.g. POPP Interact Dimmer, hereafter Dimmer). On the PC a program will decide to send commands to Dimmers/Switches. With the controlling my Dimmers and Switches there are no problem. 1. The problem is to receive events from the WallSwitch. As i understood, i can associate WallController to the PC, but i'll not be able to distinguish which WallSwitch sents my the command. For this purpose i thought to include in the network "virtual" devices hosted on the PC. One virtual device for one WallSwitch. Is this possible and how to do it. May be you have some code samples for this. 2. Another problem is to associate my WallSwitch to another device. I've tried to use standard SetAssociation for this POPP device, but all in vain. In contrast, i can make the association from one dimmer to another dimmer with the same command from my PC. Do you know if this POPP Wall Controller have some special commands? 3. And i've also tried to associate my dimmer with another one and with PC. Then I send SetAssociation command to associate dimmer with dimmer, it blinks green (standing for OK on this POPP dimmer) and the association works as expected. But then I associate the same dimmer (and the same groups) with NodeId of my PC controller, it also blinks green, but my PC doesn't receive any commands from the dimmer while button is pressed. My PC Controller is ACT HomePro ZCU 201. I suppose, it is the problem of this particular controller (tested on Linux and Windows with the same results). Can anyone comment this feature? Basically my idea is simple: I want to pass all press events through the PC, where all decisions would be made to manage the light. Like a star topology. I'm sure this was foreseen during the protocol design. Any help would be appreciate! PoltoS/ |

May be you have some code samples for this. I have a project with similar idea, but I have a problem. After I make virtual nodes I cannot figure out how tu put functionality (Node Info Frame) into my virtual node. I've tried with applicationSlaveNodeInfo function but when I read device classes with ZW_GetNodeProtocolInfo nothing is changed... Thank you in advance! |
